Duct Cleaning Sanitizing
Tuesday, 29 December 2009
After cleaning the entire air duct system we offer to our clients the option of duct sanitizing. We fog the system with an EPA registered disinfectant that is also a deodorizer, bacteriostat and a fungi-stat.
This Sanitizer, marketed under the trade name Benefect, is commonly used in hospitals and nursing homes. Benefect contains no perfumes or masking agents but still destroys odors associated with bacteria, mold, mildew, smoke, animals, etc
Subsequent maintenance applications of Benefect every 6 months does not require duct cleaning unless the condition of the duct work warrants it.
Dirty air duct systems are a major source of indoor air pollution. Airborne contaminants are pulled into the air ducts every time the heating and cooling system runs. Over time, these contaminants build up inside the ductwork, creating an ideal breeding ground for mold, bacteria, fungi and other microbes.
Air duct cleaning is a proactive solution to these problems. It can enhance indoor air quality, improve overall air circulation, eliminate built-up dirt and contaminants, and extend the life of heating and cooling systems.
For starters, the things identified below are just some of the possible and probable contaminants along with known allergy causing particles and pollutants that are more than likely inhabiting your air duct systems throughout your home and or place of business. They are of some of the most common culprits found in air vents and ductwork; Mold Spores, Pet Dander, Drywall Dust, Rotting Insects … even Rodent Carcasses are found in many of the systems we clean day in and day out..
